Show Down on Buduburam
The ongoing gang war between the infamous Nigerian/Ghanian and Liberian thugs on the Buduburam Refugee Camp have once again intensified, as the rival gangs clashed in an all out machetes war on the gap field that saw the leaders of the two groups seriously injured on Monday afternoon. The episode which actually broke out on Sunday when the leader of the Liberian thugs was caught, after several weeks of hiding, by members o the Nigerian/Ghanian group in the ghetto, and was severely flogged and chopped to the head with an ask. The violent thugs then threatened to beat up any Liberian friendly with the Liberian thugs' leader known as Dogg Pound, and put words to action the following Monday by invading the home of a friend of Dogg Pound, Mr. Willie, whom they beat up severely till his head burst open from the mortal pistol they used. They then decided to dragged the wounded body of Mr Willie through the Gap field which sparked an angry outburst from Liberians who had gathered to witness the troubling scene. It was then that a group of Liberian vigilantes came and arrested the scene, but before they could put things under control, the group of angry Liberians took hold of the leader of the Nigerian/Ghanian thugs known as Bangee, a Nigerian internet schemer, and flogged him with sticks and rocks till he went unconscious.
However, the group of vigilantes were able to finally control the situation by turning the case over to the police who are now holding the wounded Bangee as suspect for attempted murder, while Mr. Willie, Dogg Pound, and some other members from both groups who were also caught up in the fight seek medical attention at the Buduburam health facility. According to Mr. Willie, who i met in a very critical condition at the hospital in agony, he is going to pursue the matter legally. But many Liberians doubt that anything is going to come out of the matter, as they claimed that Bangee have boasted on several other occasions, after being let out of a police station for other serious crimes, that he has a very strong connection with the police.
With several hidden members of the Nigerian/Ghanian thugs threatening to retaliate, Liberians are now worry about what may further unfold. The leader of the Liberian thug, Dogg Pound was also seen around the scene later with his wounds, and heard saying, he is going to make sure that Bangee and his group pay severely for his wound when he find any one of them. Meanwhile, another Nigerian member of the group known as Biggie Small is on the run from both the police and the Land guard members for flogging one land-guard last week.
With all the uncertainty around this latest gang war on the Liberian refugees camp, many Liberians, especially those refugees who have no ID to enable them take part in the ongoing UNHCR's repatriation process are expressing their fear of what may happen when UN finally withdraw from the camp.
London's Glorious Moment: Igniting the Flame of Brotherhood
Indeed, London has changed the history of these games, and have raised the bar to another whole new level that many nations are going to find difficult to reach. But most importantly London will be remember for the way it has redefined peace in our time, ignited the flame of the spirit of brotherhood in a world full of hate, segregation and mass terror by successfully hosting both the Olympic and Paralympic games. Surely this was London in its glorious moment!

Mitt Romney's Scary Sermon: Taking America back to it's Conservative Past
Face of the KKK |
What I couldn't understand was why would Clint choose to cap his Oscar performances over the years with a racist play directed by Mitt Romney. And as Mr. Romney talked about his kind of American dream, and returning America to its conservative past, I couldn't stop my mind from wandering into that conservative past along with the Republican man. And what I saw disturbed me greatly. I saw a past deep with the wounds of racism inflicted by the Ku-Klux-KLan which was a religion and law unto themselves. I saw a past filled with the deceit and hypocrisy bred by the CIA which proudly orchestrated series of clandestine operations that ended up in fiasco that led to the death of several thousand people around the wold, including Americans themselves.I saw a past when America's allies like Israel, wary of its continuous paranoia and trauma from the Holocaust, heartlessly violate human rights with impunity.
Let me take your minds back to the 60's, the period of the civil rights Movement. A young, smart Black American named Dr. Martin Luther King made a startling revelation that would change the course of the American society forever. He discovered a powerful truth hidden in a simple sentence inscribed by the Founding Fathers of America in the American Constitution: " We hold these truth to be self evidence that all men are created equal." And using it as his only justification for the right to exist as a man, he went on to win his non violent war against racism and inspire millions of people, not only in America, but from around the world.
A black protester being dragged by US police |
So today, people like Mr. Obama can decide to run for the presidency in a nation that calls for equal opportunity for all people regardless of you religious creed, sex, or ethnic background, as long as you subscribe to the American democracy. And this was suppose to be the American Dream.
And Mr. Obama is not a wrong man, in the wrong place, at the wrong time; he is part of the very American Dream that Mr. Romney keeps alluding to.But Mr. Romney and his associates thinks it's a curse, so they are set to launch the most ruthless campaign against the Democrat, accusing the black president of not doing anything to solve the American's job problem and fixing a Republican damaged economic.
